Do Odd Jobs

Okay I know this is definitely a high-school teenager throwback before you could start applying for jobs but let me tell you, cash is cash! There are so many people who could use an extra hand around the house because they don’t have the time, skill set, or ability to do it themselves.

You could:

  • Mow grass/shovel snow
  • Nanny/babysit
  • Do simple home repairs
  • Walk dogs (there’s an app for this!)
  • House clean
  • Help people move/ lift furniture

Now get ready for the super great part. Finding people who will pay you for these jobs is as easy as using an app! Yup, it’s called Task Rabbit and people who are in need of a handy man or help painting a new bedroom, can come to this app to find people like you!

It’s great because there are so many jobs that may seem small but a lot of people may not be able to do on their own (like mount a T.V. or rearrange heavy furniture).

So if you happen to have some extra skills, or just so happen to be strong enough to move some furniture pieces, Task Rabbit may be a great side hustle option!

Sell Your Things

One of the easiest and quickest ways to make some extra money is to sell your things. I know we all have plenty of things that we haven’t touched in months or maybe even years that could make you some extra cash instead of taking up space.

Take some time and go through that closet that hasn’t been touched since you moved in and see if you can cut down on at least 40% of the items in there.

You can sell things that you no longer need on places like:

This is just a small portion of the different places available to sell your gently used items. Tons of people visit these sites each day, and depending on the website you can sell anything from clothes to collectibles and video games to electricals.

Online Surveys

So are you going to make a killing on this one alone? Well it isn’t going to be like visiting a personal money store and being able to suddenly finance your 2 week vacation. But if you have some downtime or are waiting on your name to be called at the dentists office, it wouldn’t hurt to grab your phone and make a little bit of money while you wait.

Some survey sites to try:

Now I personally have only tried a few of these so you may need to take a quick look at each one to see what would be a good fit for you.

I’ve actually seen some people making a couple hundred dollars a month from surveys alone! (but I’m assuming they had a lot of extra time on their hands). So if you have a few extra minutes while watching tv, give some surveys a try.

Get Paid For Your Skills

Now I know taking on another job doesn’t exactly sound like the most tempting thing in the world. But you don’t have to get another 9-5 to bring in some extra money.

Everyone has a hobby or special skill that you may not even think twice about but that could actually be making you some money!

Sites like Fiverr allow you to earn $5 really quickly for doing simple tasks for people that need it.

Good at designing logos? You can make some quick cash online by offering your skill as a service!

Fiverr has so many potential clients that you are bound to find something that you can do on a regular basis.

It’s Not Hard To Make Extra Money

There are times in life where you could probably use a quick influx of cash. Lucky for you making money has become A LOT easier with the use of technology.

Selling your clothes, doing odd jobs, taking surveys, using your skills, they all start with just a simple website or app. You don’t need to go door to door to find a way to make some extra money.

Grab your phone, grab your laptop, and make some money!

Good luck!
